Beanie level: Jang Geu-rae

It’s just bizarre how I’m pleased with the new Mon-Tues lineup except for the very show with my favourite Seo Hyun Jin.

Watching Five Enough to fill my Father Is Strange void. Am loving the premise of the show. It’s about second chances in love between a widower and a divorcee and the five kids between them.

Strongest Deliveryman – completed!!! This was unexpectedly enjoyable. It felt like a fairytale with a touch of humanism. I really love a cast with no big names but which blends so well together.

I love Seo Hyun Jin to bits. But I don’t think I’m gonna be able to take the trajectory of the Temperature of Love plot. Looking forward more to the other Mon-Tues offerings.

For no reason, decided to rewatch the 1996 version of Itazura Na Kiss. Can’t relate to the teenage angst anymore but Sato Aiko’s Kotoko is just so dorky, awkward and ridiculous that it’s still funny.

Ep 7 Strongest Deliveryman. Kang Soo’s niceness is his best trait and his worst. There’s something about watching him that makes me want to believe that nice people exist in this world after all.

Go Kyung-pyo is actually effective in that role, don’t you think? He gives that aura of “someone who will never break your heart.” From Reply 1988 to Jealousy Incarnate to Strongest Deliveryman, he strikes me as the nicest person on earth. hehehe

Yes… is it the way he talks or smiles? There’s an inner core of decency that somehow manages to shine through. Will be interesting to see him take on a villain role lol.

There’s something about the pacing of Falsify that doesn’t grip me as a viewer. Why is it that I like the cast but can’t seem to really get into the plot?

I agree. I like the cast, they do a good playing their characters but the drama doesn’t grip me. I like the light moments but when it’s back to serious stuff and a lot of talking I find it hard to be invested. It’s still good but doesn’t make you want to dive in the new episode.

I know! I’m still determined to finish the show though. Except I keep pausing in the middle of the episode to do other stuff before returning to it. This is definitely not normal drama watching for me!

I…. Can’t!! Every minute of ep 5 of Save Me is too riveting. Kept hoping Sang Mi would jump out of the van screaming in those last few minutes.

Seems like a good idea to live watch a show like Save Me. Getting the creeps in weekly doses seems to be a better idea than going through it all at once.

29. No longer at an age where rom coms do the trick for me. Darker grittier shows like Forest of Secrets and Save Me suddenly seem so much more intriguing.

    Awww!

    30. An age you realize there’s too much drama in real life. Only watching romcoms to get a breather from life. 😂😂😂

Ha! What a difference a year makes. I tried to watch the romcom Marriage Not Dating for my YWJ fix after Seven Day Queen but am floundering at ep 8. Help!

That’s one of my faves! But I get you. There was also a time in my drama watching career that I really just went for the epic ones like Gaksital 😍

“Justice? You get justice in the next world. In this world, you get the law.” – William Gadis.

The law is a set of rules that gives order to society but which does not always mete out justice.

Just caught the episode of Father Is Strange where Dad stood trial. His anguish at going unpunished for what he did do but being punished for what he didn’t really struck a chord in me.

He is such a good actor! He is so convincing in his role as appa that i find it hard to believe he used to play villains?!

Yes… After seeing him in this meek role I am quite curious how he is as a villain actually!
