Is yumi’s cells only going to have 2 seasons? I wonder how they’ll cover the whole story in I guess 8 more eps? Babi’s story alone is at least 2/3rd of the webtoon if I remember correctly. And will they remain true to the source material or deviate? Because I can’t see how they’ll cover up so much in so less time

I am hoping they don’t deviate but suspect they will make some changes as you said they are cutting it fine with the timing for her career and relationship to be tied up neatly and this is one drama I don’t want to have lose ends or an ending that takes it way off the original ending.

youtube video with woong from s1.. pretty much confirms they won’t cut the main narrative.. of breakup 1, cheating twice

@alasecond I don’t know whether I should be happy or sad because I like both babi and jinyoung but at the same time also curious about how they’ll wrap up the loveline and who’s going to play the 3rd guy? I heard it was probably Yang Sejong? I like him as well 😅

It’s my own fault for venturing into this thread (not once but 3 times!) but I have questions! Cheating twice! Who’s cheating? Cheating on who? Spoil me so I can prepare myself! I don’t like *anything* involving cheaters and would prefer not to be caught off guard if at all possible. Please?

That’s what. Even I don’t want any loose ends. But I’m wondering how they’ll cover up everything with the limited number of eps. From her career taking off to her love life (I assume you’ve read the webtoon? )

Yes I have read the webtoon so it’s hard to comment on the weekly feed without giving too much away. I read that they had the break between the seasons so people could get over Woong and connect to Babi so I was wondering how they would avoid that issue with Babi and i think the main way they are doing it is keeping it superficial in terms of who Babi is. I liked him in the webtoon and felt disappointed that Yumi was not the one for him as I felt they made a good couple in terms of interests and personality.
I am interested in seeing who will play the third interest as I didn’t really see the pull for him in the webtoon he was too awkward initially compared to Babi’s open and direct approach so it took a while for me to warm to him.

Agree I really liked babi in the webtoon and I really thought that he would be the one. I was upset at how it panned out and I’m dreading the girl who’s going to show up next week. I think it was jinyoung’s costar in he’s psychometric. I’m going to hate her even though it’s not her fault 😅. And true the 3rd guy hardly appeared in the last few chapters and I didn’t get how she ended up with him. But that’s life I guess. You never know what’s going to happen.
I totally relate to the struggle to not give away too much in the comments section of the recaps so I’m not commenting anything 😂

It kind of seems so. They’ve changed more stuff this season, but I think Yumi/Babi will have the same ending. I hope so anyway. My guess is the season ends with Yumi getting published and meeting Soon-rok. Fade to black. If they were to get another season, they can go from there. If not, Yumi’s happy ending is succeeding as a writer and webtoon readers know she ends up with Soon-rok.

I guess we’ll have to contend with that then. But I can’t identify what all they’ve changed? Can you give some examples?

I agree people need to see that she is successful as a writer and confident in her own abilities so her love interest is less of a central feature in her life. As you say they may hint at the relationship without showing it. In other dramas they seem to be leaving things in the early stages, the old approach was to use the last ten minutes to show the couple 2-5 years in the future married with a child/living together.

I am sure Babi changed his job too and that’s how he met the love rival but in the show it seems they will introduce her within his current work context.

Rubi has a relationship and is more involved with Yumi in the webtoon and Yumi’s writing success is showcased. I think they may have less on struggle and more on the success to free time for success and Yumi’s future relationship.
