In case you’re like me who collects wallpaper-worthy scenes of Korean dramas:

Here’s one from See You in My 19th Life episode 3’s cherry blossom scene.

her skirt is distracting… it was so transy in previous scenes and then i realized how transy it was in this scene.. wonder if the actress knew

    cherry blossoms

I admit that HosPlay S2\’s first 5 episodes weren\’t as great as S1\’s, but episodes 6 to 8 reminded me of why I love this drama so, so much. Especially episode 8!!!

7

    lucky you

i am still trying to find what happened to s2..

sp 8 is another let down .. the only episode which was nice was the one on interns and their mistakes

Hmm maybe you’re not in the mood to watch this type of drama? There are some dramas which I can’t finish because it’s not the genre I want to watch at that time.

Dear Drama Gods, thank you for giving us IANAR and the perfection of the two leads (AND THAT SCENE OFC OH MY LORDS)

I was scrolling through the comments on the recaps as well as on the casting news here on db and some kept saying they had no chemistry…

Say it to me again right now, babies. I dare you.

    6
    1

Lmao who said that? I don’t know kind of chemistry they were looking for, but I *points to my corpse* can’t handle more chemistry than this I’m sorry!!

I realized that watching the best drama out there is not the best way to recover from your drama slump. Because then your standards would be sky high.

I\’ve just finished BTLIOF! What do I watch next?

I haven’t watched them yet but I’ve heard Chicago Typewriter and Chief Kim are very good.

Thank you for the recs! I’ll try watching them after a couple of days 🙂

I’m just about to start Chief Kim! Hoping it’s good.

Prison Playbook! Really touching, both funny and heartbreaking. Loving it so far. (It got me from my drama slump.)

I struggled to get into anything for a while after BTLIOF, but the drama that eventually got me out of my slump was My Wife Is Having An Affair This Week.

Beanies! My curious mind suddenly asked a random question: How are the relationship of the siblings’ spouses called?

Say, for example Se-hee and Ji-seok’s wife. What’s their relation to each other?

Try this link – I’m not confidant enough to give you an answer from the list, lol!

      Omg what a list.

Uhhh, so, Ji-hyeok’s wife would be Se-hee’s “cheonamdaek”? Right? And Se-hee would be her “hyeongnim”? I know I’ve heard that for brother-in-laws in dramas before. But the list also has “doryeonnim” and “seobangnim” which I’ve also heard… or would one of those just be used by Ji-hyeok and not Ji-hyeok’s wife?

Omg I’m more confused now hahah.

      Thank you for the link!

I thought noona/dongsaeng/hyeong/sunbae hierarchy was complex, and then this list proved me wrong. From what I understood, how the four of them will call each other would go like:
      Se-hee to Ji-seok: cheonam
Ji-seok to Se-hee: hyeong, I think, because that’s how Ji-seok calls Se-hee in the drama (or hyeongnim)
      Se-hee to Ji-seok’s wife: cheonamdaek
      Ji-seok’s wife to Se-hee: ???
      Ji-ho to Ji-seok’s wife: jesu
      Ji-seok’s wife to Ji-ho: dongseo
      Ji-seok’s wife to Se-hee:

edit: please ignore the repeated last line hehe

I am watching ep12 of BTLIOF rn, and I should correct my above post:
        Ji-seok’s wife to Ji-ho: eonni
        Ji-seok’s wife to Se-hee: ajubeoni

OMO! I don’t even refer to my sister’s husband to my kids as their uncle, I refer to him as “Your Aunt’s husband”, lol! I could never do all this, seriously… I’ll settle for “Yo..”

Lol, gotta love the recapper for italicizing the “a” bit. These are the little details that I would have missed if I didn’t read the recap.

    Weeee! BTLIOF!

Enjoy! And if you read the recaps and comments, block out some time. We wrote essays about this show.

The number of comments was what convinced me to watch this show. If Beanies loved it, then I’m watching a great drama for sure.

It was so good, and the comment section was especially illuminating. If you have time definitely read the comments; the level of analysis was exceptional and really helped me understand it at a deeper level.

Hello there, little one. 😊

His flustered face 😄

When you think Jingoo’s cheekbones game is already high, then they put a band-aid on his face to further accentuate his cheekbones. Damn.

Then he speaks with that deep voice of his. Oh boy.

      1

I am very much aware of how deep his amazing voice is, but when he spoke in English that is just when it hit me just how great his voice would sound in language that I understand.

I never thought a time will come wherein I have to restrain myself from accessing fanposts to avoid spoilers re: Circle.

I must watch ep4 now.

Hehe, Mango Juice, at least we try to be good and keep the spoilers out of the main post!

That’s what I’ve noticed too. There aren’t any ‘warning: spoilers ahead’ on the main post but it’s kind of automatic when beanies say, “The latest episode was intense!!” Hahaha I love this community 💓💓

So from intense thrill, you’re now making me cry?? Why are you doing this, Show?

P.S. I never knew Lee Ki can make me cry with just a little glimpse of his past. What great acting. I’m down!!!

    1

I finished episode 3, and I’m still beating. Brain, however, has been fluctuating since finishing the ep. I heard some ridiculous questions such as,
“What’s the importance of Min-ji’s kidnapping to the plot?”
“Who is the doctor to Joon-hyuk?”
“Was the worm the prototype of the care chip?”
    “Is Joon-hyuk Beom-gyun or Woo-jin?”
“Is Bluebird and Han Jung-yeon the alien?”

I think brain is slowly losing sanity. Thankfully I’m an involuntary muscle. I can live even if my partner’s insane. Hooray?

    Love,
    Heart

I hope by the end of this torture we’re going to appreciate the light. My expectations are soaring high by now that I don’t think the show can make it 🙁

Seriously. I am majorly in love and only hope this show can meet and hopefully exceed my expectations. I am hoping that at only 12 episodes we will get a tight story.

I suddenly got curious on who the writer and the director are. Their past records could really help to ease our worries. I searched the director and.. nope I don’t know his past dramas :'(

This is only his second directing gig. He produced Kill Mee, Heal Me which I did not see. And it seems that all the writers a newbies too. Maybe this is a good thing? They will have fresh ideas. Jaws was only Spielberg’s second feature length film and it is a masterpiece! So there is always hope!!

I’m now stanning Yeo Jin-goo playing with a cube. Moar, please, even if he isn’t really solving it.

Cubes nowadays are pretty easy to turn. Problem is, they cost some money. 😂

Owemzee this. I rarely see cubes in dramas.
