This my love wall for hospital playlist. By the time you come in May season 2, I will have watched you season 1 maybe two more times! That will make my watch of hospital playlist a total of 5 times!

Can anyone help me find that post where db explains our “levels” of kdrama fanaticism? Seems like I am a noble idiot, can’t remember what I started out with when this was first started

All time favourite drama list:

I think I’ll make an all time favourite drama list here which I will keep on updating in the comments section as the list expands

2
15

    1. Hospital playlist
    2. Prison playbook
    3. Answer me series
    4. My ajusshi
    5. Be melo
    6. Search: www
    7. My name is Kim Sam soon
    8. Secret garden
    9. Coffee prince
    10. Goblin (only for the epic bromance and loveline of from reaper. Didn’t care for the central romance even when they had gong yoo because don’t find Kim go eun a good actress despite her popularity)
    11. DOTS (only for bromance, second lead romance; liked the romance between the leads too but that wasn’t the primary reason to watch and enjoy for me, it was the bromance and second lead romance story that brought me in multiple times)
    12. Goong

Could it be..i have found a kindred spirit in my drama taste..I’ve seen all except for Secret Garden and My Ahjussi.

Oooh secret garden is love. It’s a comparable year older drama but I have found it to have so much funk that maybe even after a couple more decades it will stand the test of time.

My ajusshi is another gem. Try it and tell me plz how you felt after watching it hehe

I did try MA cos of all the rave on it but i guess i didn’t have the patience to watch it fully then. I’m not inclined to give it another go atm.

          1

It does take a whole lot of patience. It’s slow and the cinematography is a bit dark which makes it even harder to watch.

I’m almost with you – haven’t seen 7 and I’m afraid I would not add DOTS.

Oh trust me I debated over having it in my list. But then I thought what’s the most important reason I liked the drama? The answer was clear. honestly it’s only there because of the gem of the acting duo we discovered in Kim ji won and Jin goo. She only got mainstream lead roles after dots. Her chemistry with jin goo and their storyline was what kept my interest. I came back every week just for these two. I didn’t care for the main lead romance or their storyline or the fact that chapter yoo was presumably killed way too many times that it became a ridiculous farce lol

        1

OK. I haven’t seen either of them in much, but I liked her in Arthdal. He was good in DOTS. I didn’t give it enough of a chance to develop though. I just couldn’t get past Song Hye-kyo’s terrible acting.

Thought about this a bit more and Think you are right. Think I’ll put dots in the second tier dramas I like such as what’s wrong with secretary Kim, IONTBO and so on, fight for my way etc.

True! his works aren’t pretentious, and it makes me genuinely interested in mundane things we experience in life. I also like his (and his writers) sense of humor.

2019 and 2020 have been esp good in bringing in top notch dramas. Case in point are search:www, be melo, sky castle, hospital playlist and it’s okay not to be okay.

2018 gave us my mister and what’s wrong with secretary Kim. Two dramas in totally different genres but equally filled my heart in different ways

2017 had Kim bok joooooo (ah my love!) and prison playbook. Honourable mention goes to “fight my way”.

All of the above especially Sky Castle

Don’t know how many times I have rewatched prison playbook even though I discovered it after I watched hospital playlist! It’s crazy I didn’t know it existed all this time!!!

Omoo how satisfying was that ending?!!!! IONTBO filled my heart and soul!! Gonna miss our trio so much! Btw I wish s.korea would step up their game a bit with bed scenes, butvery happy with kiss scene

There was so much build up over the kiss scene that I thought they would definitely show the progression to the bed like carrying her up the stairs, a bit of undressing on MKT’s side of the white shirt, lowering MY on the bed and then camera pan off. Instead we got a hot kiss and then left to dry, esp coz so many other scenes were cut through between the morning after scene and the kiss scene 😝 I sound like I am complaining haha. Don’t get me wrong, I loved everything about the drama, just thought given the cast and chemistry and the beautiful buildups, they could have gone the extra mile to show a more passionate bed scene. I love the drama. Even though 2020 sucks big time in real life, it gave us IONTBO and Hospital playlist (and also chocolate and CLOY on a different level of satisfactorily and category heh) – these two will be up there in my favourite dramas of all time list along with coffee prince and goong. I keep rewarding them! Oh my heart is full with IONTBO ❤️❤️❤️ So long my love, till we meet again (or till I watch you again, probably sometime next week haha).

I on the other hand loved that they at least showed the morning. One of the reasons I respect the kdrama culture is because they keep things away from getting too physical. Michael Caine once said he has never done a nude/sexual scene because it takes away a viewer’s attention from the story. I completely agree with him on this matter.
I did complained in the past about dead kisses but this drama showed us some sizzling chemistry during those scenes. Ughh…. I’m already missing them!

I was very satisfied with the ending as well. You know that saying where if you get yourself invited inside, you want to sit down? And if you are invited to sit down you want to eat and lie down? Hahah my situation is that, just keep wanting more and more even though everything given was more than enough hahaha

Na but I did feel like the transition could have been better from the kiss to the morning after, esp since so much already shown lol. Don’t worry jung it would have taken away the focus from the story but just added a bit more for imagination on the viewer part hehe. The anticipation built up haha my heart feels full

    This kiss was amazing!

    1

Honestly I didn’t expect them to kiss, this was so unexpected and I think the element of surprise added more to the viewers’ excitement and glee hehehe I mean, man did you feeel the passion and desperation and finally losing all sense of control and holding back aaaaaaaaaah I died! Oh my heart be still, Saturday come fast please!

      1

I held my breath the entire time. I thought they would kiss but then questioned whether the writer will just end all the sexual tension with a “talk” or not. Before I could get my thoughts together, there he was….

        1
        1

          Hahaha yeah I get that

But for some reason in between all the tensed stuff happening, I forgot that kiss is a possibility. I was taken aback with the kiss in the most delicious of ways 🤣🤣

The title of this video seems so very INNOCENT I love it 😂🤭 Let’s call it the birthday kiss scene from now on.

Aaaah my current obsession! I feel regretful that I started this drama now, feel like should have waited till the drama completion and then should have binged watched it. Such a dilemma! https://www.soompi.com/article/1412695wpp/watch-kim-soo-hyun-pretends-to-be-jealous-of-seo-ye-ji-and-choi-daniel-behind-the-scenes-of-its-okay-to-not-be-okay

Nobody could ever have played Earnest Bot, aka Eun Shi Kyung, with the nuances, subtlety and earnestness that JJS has played with. Eun Shi Kyung played by JJS is by far the best kdrama character!!

I have watched my share of kdramas over the past seven years, and I think ESK is the best character ever written and played. Needless to say that any other actor other than JJS could never have given the character the depth and the level that JJS has. My absolute favroites, JJS and ESK!! I love them!! Every scene that JJS/ESK was in stole the show!!

JJS, please come back to dramaland and give me more!

And my heart still breaks every time. Drama killed this amazing character. Still can’t get over that.

I feel like a chunk of my heart has been cut out forever, ESK shaped. That hole will never be filled, ever. I couldn’t watch after episode 18 for a very long time, I still can’t. My heart aches for ESK, the best character ever written. I can’t thank JJS enough for bringing the character to life and giving him the layers that he did. What a class actor!!! JJS is my absolute favorite!

Rewatched The King 2 Hearts. This by far was LSG’s best performance to date, and not to mention that this drama is the one that really opened our eyes to the gem that JJS is. My ever endearing ESK!!

Heard there is a variety show in Korea called Celebrity Bromance…if they ever get to cast Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook, I will be sold on the show for life!

They can add the puppy in the middle if they need more zing in the bromance!! I need this to happen to bad!

    yep but not sure if it’s still ongoing. I’ve seen Park Hyung-sik & SJ’s Ryeo-wook and Ji-soo & Joo-hyuk’s episodes.

This has a totally different meaning now. They were very much in love and deep into their dating lifeby this time. SHK thanking SJK at 4:40 takes a whole different meaning now!!

And Song Joong-ki saving “Hye-kyo noona” for last was a sweet ending to his speech, too.
I love that they held each other’s hands when they won and continued to do so for a bit. That awkward semi-hug/back pat at the end of their speeches, tho. Ha.
I’m so used to American award shows rudely rushing award winners (they’ll start playing music, or pan away to commercials) when their speech is too long, that I was kinda expecting the same here, but glad they were able to finish their speeches, even though they were lengthy.

I love Song Hye-kyo’s dress! It’s so so pretty and she’s so so beautiful, as always.
I’m so happy for Song-Song couple!

They are both so mature and calm in public….they seem to be heading towards becoming one cool and level-headed couple. Very private about private lives and at the same time delivering awesome acting projects to us fans. I still find it a bit hard to swallow, this was so sudden! And the wedding is so soon! Just no time to digest the info haha
My best wishes for them, our best wishes for them!

Yes, I agree about them being a cool and level-headed couple. Very mature, indeed. Song Hye-kyo just has such a classy aura to her that I admire. I was genuinely shocked when I read the news (on an article originally about Song Joong-ki possibly being in that zombie drama/movie(?), no less)! Yes, best wishes to them and congrats to the beautiful couple.

Okay, so although I love them to bits and pieces, their sudden wedding announcement put me in a slump briefly. But reading this made it all good 😀 Link\’s in the reply section below
