I was reading an article about a female news anchor in Korea causing an uproar by wearing glasses and pantsuits (cause you know…patriarchy) and at the bottom there was a link to another article about the father of the man who ran the world’s largest child porn site. He had the nerve to beg for his 24 yr old son not to be extradited to the US because he faces up to 100 years and not knowing the language or food would be too much for him. You have to be @#$%&! kidding me!! 1) If he doesn’t survive that’s his problem. He shouldn’t have done what he did. (If I told y’all what I really wanted to say you shake your head at me in shame and wonder if I was ok) 2) How DARE have the nerve to say he only did it because they were poor. SIR!!! YOUR SON IS A PEDOHILE who profited off of abuse of children. Wanting to make money doesn’t turn you into a deviant. 3) How in the hell do you only serve 18 months for the world’s largest child porn site?! The justice system, the entire world over, is not just at all. 4)If he was selling it, he was probably doing it. Hang him.

Mark Salling, who played Puck on Glee was arrested and convicted for having a massive child porn collection—he hung himself before he was sentenced.

15 years ago, there was a a 50 something yr old man who lived around the corner and taught at the college in my city who killed himself with carbon monoxide poisoning in his garage 3 days after the FBI raided his house. Turns out, a student narked on him after finding child porn on his computer at the school.

We went to look at his house once it was on the market. He had a room with pink walls and flowers drawn on the wall. He didn’t have any children. I was sick to my stomach when I thought about how many times my daughters had ridden their bikes past his house.

I hope they all wear pantsuits and glasses to protest (sisters unite!). Now I want a pantsuit.

I’m not as out for blood as you are on the other, but life in prison would be much better than 18 months.

And the dad had the nerve to say ‘He hasn’t raped or murdered anyone’ no but what you did is just as bad. He ruined so many children’s lives that will affect them for the rest of their lives. 😔 But I guess this explains why the son is the way he is.

I can understand a father defending his son, because he will always be his son, no matter what he’s done.
I can understand a father wanting his son to serve his sentence in Korea and not in the US.
I cannot by any means, a father trying to excuse an inexcusable behavior. No way.
Now… regarding glasses and pantsuits… just when I thing dramas are exaggerating…

This reminds me of “but he’s an excellent swimmer”.
I didn’t read the article. I’m sick of anyone abusing any human or animal. I try to avoid all such news but that doesn’t negate that it’s not happening. Sick of victims/survivors not getting enough justice and us being unable to do anything. I feel social media also has us just speaking on social media rather than taking any action on the streets or protesting and that puts no pressure on anybody. 18 months is like laughing on the victims. I’m not that sure about the world laws but punishments for abuse are always light and that needs to change. Their life is destroyed I hope they recover but this is heartbreaking.

I will probably never forget the swimmer. I was so happy when the campaign to remove the judge that basically let him off the hook was removed from the bench. Unfortunately, the female lawyer that did it suffered too.

Hanging is not enough! He dies…so what? Everyone dies at the end of the day. That’s not even enough justice in my opinion. 18months is nothing but passive encouragement. That vile creature lost all rights to be human the moment he committed all those atrocities. Him and his accomplices should be thrown into a pit and be violated as they’ve violated their victims. They should never see the light of the day again and be broken to the point they beg for death. Death is mercy for them and they don’t deserve mercy. If I type what I REALLY feel should be done to him, my post will be flagged.
I’ve noticed the pattern in sentencing predators, especially in South Korea, and it’s so fucking ridiculous. There’s always some bullshit about it being their first offense and how their circumstances should be taken into consideration so there’s reductions to their sentencing. The same with that creep Kang Ji Hwan. He was convicted of sexual assault. This fucker even admitted to it (and also threatened his victims who, by the way, were ruthlessly bullied by netizens) but he got 2 years and 6 months but is actually serving a 3 year PROBATION?? and he made some half-ass comments on how he wanted to have a family and be the best father! His defense literally said that the judge should take into consideration that his crime wasn’t premeditated and because of a ‘mistake’, his life is ruined. I know it’s a lawyer’s job to defend their client but how they simply belittled the traumatizing experience of the victims to a ‘mistake’ makes me so livid.
They always want us to sympathize with the perpetrators and consider their families and their lives forgetting how they’ve fucked up the lives of their victims. These perpetrators had a choice in the matter but the victims never did. So why should I empathize or sympathize with vile creatures?
    I’m so mad right now!

You and I have the same thoughts for how pedos and rapists should be punished. I have no sympathy for people like that. I didn’t write what I wanted to say either. Don’t want people thinking I’m crazy. Lol. When I read things like that all I can think about are my own kids. Makes me shudder in fear.

Wow, I didn’t know about Kang Ji Hwan. I will never be able to watch Lie to Me again. Thank goodness Yoon Eun Hye has another drama that I like.

I was looking forward to watching World of the Married but then I found out that Lee Kyoung Young was also a sexual predator. I came across the info looking up the cast from Hyena. I really think he’s a good actor too. Oh well another one for the trash pile.

Same feelings like you guys and it’s not only for child abuse but abuse in all ages. The victims never had a choice and my blood boils when i hear such reckless statements in the abusers defense and them actually be considered appropriate. We need to fight for stricter punishments we’ve let so many people off the hook. I always think of Goo Hara. While her case may be different even her lawyers said her ex bf was given very less punishment (probation for him too) and what happened in the end , GH took her own life, she’s the one who suffered and kept suffering. So many more victims have done the same because they don’t even get closure in the form of justice.

While I’d say hanging is not enough , because what the victims have lost, they’ve lost it already, it sets a precedent. It’s seen as a stricter punishment. And punishments exist to hold accountable and warn other people that yeah this could happen to you if you take this step. Since people are driven by lust in abuse cases if they know that this can cost them their lives, then they might consciously take a step back. Nobody cares about a jail term, heck abusers get away with abuse without ever being caught so jail term is a far off scenario. Also some jails around the world are pretty relaxed, there have been abusers who have served jail term and were back on abusing again. While every human can repent, the abusers can still turn their life back to zero while the victims can’t, that is why this crime should have no leniency.
