          That sounds AWESOME, and now I must try. I made my first sourdoughs just the other month! I have two starters, named Bob and Frank (‘Tis a Frankenstein Référence.) and they’ve been adopted into the family. My mom started referring to them as my “BF” and from there, “Boyfriend” – so that’s fun. Only boyfriend I need.

    The thing is, i LOVE coffee prince – it is one of the earliest dramas i watched which single handedly solidified my interest and appreciation of Kdramas.

    I LOVED gongyoo and the yun eye in them. I loved every character and actor..

    Moral of the story is – even then, while watching coffee prince.. the reticent, sexy japanese cook was my main eye candy.. and the one i got most interested in 🙂

    Is there anyone else?

Baeksang nominations are out, and while I’m happy Yeo Jin Goo got a best actor nomination, I’m kinda sad they snubbed Yeo Jin Goo. 🙁

    Other thoughts:

    – The overall nominations for TV seem right on, except for Memories of Alahambra….
    – THRILLED that my man Kim Sang Kyung got a nom for his multi-layered Minister Lee in CC.
    – JKY/Namoo for Come and Hug Me is a wonderful surprise!
    – Would have loved to see NJH get a nom for Radiant, but still excited for his movie new actor nom. This feels like their way of acknowledging his overall good work this year.

    he is so adorable (i am really begging god here that it is not another case of a demented perosnality behind the screens).. but with coffee prince, radio star and other variety experiences, i’d expect him to be a cocky guy (i mean comeone he knows he is god level handsome and specially in Korea) .. but he is such a hard working kid

      I know what you mean. I never like to watch too much of an actor outside the drama. Watching behind the scenes is probably the most I’d do especially when I am in love with the drama. I don’t watch variety either. But from snippets of Coffee Prince and the BTS of this show, NJH seems like a pretty shy if not awkward guy. That bit of awkwardness can easily come off as cold or aloof. But when he’s put to work, he seems to get into it immediately and it’s like that is when he’s most comfortable. I dunno but this is the impression I get.

        ya.. no i phrased it wrong.. i’d expect him to be a cocky guy.. but the variety shows show he is not.. i don’t get cold vibes from him.. but that he is a shy, introvert person.. which is so wonderful because.. well you know when you are drop dead handsome, moreover in Korea, you very well might grow up with a self of entitlement

To the writers of Dazzling: It was clear from the beginning you were going to tell whatever story you wanted to tell, genre and expectations and conventions be damned. That’s so much of what I loved about it, even when it meandered and seemed odd or disjointed. I could never have imagined the courageous story you were actually trying to give us. Ya’ll got guts. And my respect.

      We find out Hye Ja actually has Alzheimer’s, and the drama is an imagined mix of her current life as an old woman, and her sad life as her younger self.

          We’re not exactly sure, yet, since there are two episodes to go. We know she was in many of the places she thought she was, but that the current NJH character is some imagined form of her doctor mixed with her dead husband (it’s as heartbreaking as it sounds). Interactions with people in the senior center she visited, and her immediate family are most likely all real. (She imagined her son and daughter in law were her parents, though, and that her grandson was her brother.) We are all eagerly awaiting more details!

    I loved them. And this scene. And this drama.

    I love that it’s so much more than a romance. I love that their connection is grounded in hope. I love that he found that he didn’t need someone to save him, but in being there for each other, he found that he could save himself. I love that in this drama, being there for someone, being present, being kind, being a support for others, giving love, being vulnerable and being soft, waking up in the morning and facing the world even when it hurts to breathe.. I love that it’s portrayed as being strong, that is something that takes immense courage.

    It’s beautiful, and it’s real, and I love it.

      YES X 100. What I also love is that the most remarkable thing about Hye ja was that she loved and accepted herself. You see it in the young Hye ja, and then you see her find it again as a halmoni Hye ja. That was what made her so “dazzling”, and what drew Joon ha to her from the very beginning. It was this self love that allowed her to be so generous with Joon ha. In the end it was both how much she loved herself and how much she cared for him that helped him realized he could also love himself.

    Ugh. Those eyes… that look… ughhhhhh. But honestly, I’m not sure whether is it because I started and caught up with RIABB, but the flow is getting boring for me…

      It’s got lots of pacing and plot issues. And it does seem like the characters are circling the drain. I’m hoping we get a jolt in 8!

    The subs not using noona took away from some of the beauty of this scene. He sees her as DanI and not just Noona so easily.
