✓First of all she is NOT the main lead!
✓Her role here is having much less screen time and importance in comparison to Lost!
✓ I calculated the number of minutes she was on screen while watching ep 6, let’s take a look,
Her screen time in ep 6
20:31 to 20:41 = 10seconds
21:27 to 22:37 = 1 min 10secs (some close-ups, in some she’s in bg)
50:03 to 50:30 = 27 secs (she’s being scolded here🤭)
Total time of the ep – 1 hour approx
HER SCREEN TIME = 1 MINUTE 47 SECONDS

      My bad seriously! I just realized that she was in Cinderella and the Four Knights. My goodness, I thought I was watching a robot from The avengers act. Apologies to those dear robots because they could move their face a bit. Maybe she’s improved a bit to the point I could not recognize her but now.

      Well I guess @eazel & @ladynightshade can address this question better, but as for me, I’ve seen her before only in Human Disqualification and I didn’t like her (and also her character) even a bit. Why? Idk, if it’s her poor acting or her rolling eyes or characters she plays, can’t decide, i just know she’s unbearable for me!
      *Well I’m not the one who throws tantrums in these stuffs, but SHE gets on my nerves*

      Yay, I haven’t seen her in any of the dramas before except human disqualification, so I’m saved. Btw I still don’t understand what was the purpose of her character in HD, she was weird since beginning, unnecessarily obsessing over Kang jae, then she just changed in last episodes weirdly, her whole arch was beyond my understanding!

    Lol this is amazing! You worked really hard on this. What a wonderful way to convince naysayers like me to join in the fun. I’ll definitely give Ghost Doctor a chance now. I like all the other actors involved so the choice now is easy.

    I will say though, just in case anybody misunderstands; I don’t hate Naeun as a person or even a celebrity. I even enjoy a lot of APink’s music. I just find her to be an exceptionally mediocre actress who should not be getting the roles she does. Other members of her group are much better suited in this career.

            Neutral on him, as I am with probably 99% of actors. I generally care more about individual dramas than the actors themselves! 🙂 So I have nothing against Ji Sung, I’ve just never seen him in anything that resonated with me.

      Hehe, maybe because I don’t watch lot’s of rom-coms, happy endings are rare for me! Still I didn’t expected my tags to be so dark, I mean look at them death, betrayal, trauma, Revenge, tragic past, oh god! Now I’m realising Its imp. to keep in check these stuffs, lol😅

        I definitely skew to the romcom end of the spectrum but it’s not like I watch them exclusively, so I was kind of surprised happy ending was head and shoulders above the next one (which was strong female lead, so there’s something we all like!)

    I only use it to keep track of the shows I’ve watched, so of course I had no idea about the tag feature. But now I know, and I’ve got:
    -64 Strong Female Lead,
    -60 Death,
    -56 Happy Ending
    -and 55 Nice Male Lead,
    which I think nicely sums up my drama preferences. This explains why I liked Happiness so much 😂

        Loads of death for me too!
        I tend to look for upbeat stuff, but I also like the occasional thriller, dark fantasy and have a spot spot for zombies, so up goes the body count, oh my! 🙌
        But, yes, I’ve got a pet peeve about smarty pants male leads – but they show up in my list too… There’s no escaping cold.highñy competent CEO’s in Dramaland 😅

        I like it because it’s cute and funny. Some people don’t like it because of the sky castle moms but I don’t care about them.
        If you ignore them the show its just super cute and heartwarming.

    I want to be watching this show, but I’ve been hesitating…haven’t had time to read up to see if it’s a premise wrapped around a patient-of-the-week (I tend to dislike X-of-the-week shows unless they’re really deep background to the main plot).

      No no, it’s not at all what you’re thinking, nah! Everything what’s happening in a hospital revolves around our leads! Patient aren’t really that important here, their operations and who will do them is more! (Ik I’m not sounding simple, but just give 2 eps to it and you’ll understand)
      It’s about an expert doctor becoming ghost, and then using our Kim bums (Rookie & so called doc) body to operate people and trying to handle situation!

    I think there are very few people who watched Undercover here but I’ve only heard praises for that show. Plus it has KHJ who usually picks good shows.

    I like it but I am KHJ-JJH biased (as I survived and rewatched their super makjaing I Have a Lover). It is a warm and engaging watch. The husband didn’t hide his identity on purpose but rather give up his identity for the love of her. They have two teenage kids with one having Asperger. It is quite a family-oriented story and tightly paced thriller at the same time. Why don’t you try two episodes?

    But if you are a JJH fan, then Designated Surviver is a must watch.

        It depends on your preference and mood. Undercover and Designated Survivors are quite different dramas. Undercover has more a romance vibe whereas objectively speaking, DS is a stronger drama with a superb ensemble cast (both have Heo Jun-ho) and its political intrigues. I watched DS twice already.

      Some Beanies made serious attempts to figure out the status algorithm. If I remember well, @sicarius and @lordcobol are big experts on the DB-verse. There is even a table somewhere listing the statuses and comparing the amount of likes/posts/followers/following people had at the point of leveling up.
      In the end, it’s still a bit mysterious, but there are some things we already know:
      – Errand Boy is the hardest status to level up from (it took me almost 2 years),
      -you level up faster if you post comments on the recaps, open threads and WWW, than if you post on the Beanie-wall (some Beanies even highjacked recap threads from old dramas in order to level up, and it worked),
      – it seems to be more about interaction on comment threads than number of likes,
      – nobody knows what the following/follower feature is for because there is no notification option linked to it. It looks like a discarded intention of turning DB into a social network

          Well, it took me long because I tend to post on the Beanie-wall instead of the comment threads… Some Beanies managed to level up from Errand Boy-dom in a few months. But, yes, if I were you, I wouldn’t get too hung up on the statuses, it’s just a fun feature

        I’m not sure how much just posting/commenting adds to your Magic Quantum Ninja Beaning Points and helps you level up, but
        1: I’m 99% sure that it helps when people reply to you — so feel free to reply to this 🙂
        2: I *think* (and hope) that getting lots of thumbs-up also helps. Of all the things I guess might help you level up, comments or posts that people will like are hardest to game and will do the most to keep DB a nice place to hang out. So feel free… 🙂

        Yes so it’s a double problem! Because it’s noble idiot, one of the most popular and equally hated tropes and also because it was very difficult to level up from. I only managed to cross it once I spammed the walls with weightlifting fairy bokju posts😅. Anyway all the best!! Hopefully your noble idiot phase won’t last long 🤞

Finished watching your honor! Despite it’s rushed and left-for-wanting-more ending, I adored it completely!
I dived in for Lee yoo young (sucha pleasure to watch she is) and found Yoon shi yoon – 1st time watching him, and he carried both the role so well, not even once I was confused who’s whom! His facial expressions were lit (though sometimes it felt over the top) Overall I had fun watching it!
So..if I loved your honor what should I watch next Beanies!?!

    Yay, Yoon Shin Yoon! If you’re into dark comedies with a dash of bromance, I’d recommend Psychopath Diary. Yoon Shin Yoon and Park Sung Hoon are brilliantly funny in this.
    Alternatively, if you’re into sageuks and don’t mind watching a sad story, then check out Nokdu Flower, which is probably the best sageuk I’ve watched

        Psychopath diary is a favourite. YSY is really good in it. I’ve watched it several times really enjoyed the character growth and the structure of the show

    You know @Unni with all these YOUR HONOR references I have been thinking I am in need of a YSY fix. I passed on his most recent dramedy. So I queued up on Viki YSY’s THE BEST HIT (2017) also known as HIT THE TOP. It is a triple header because also in the cast is Kim Min-jae (from DALI) and Lee Se-young (RED SLEEVE, KAIROS).

    If you want an early YSY drama/comedy I can pass on a recommendation I received a couple of years ago: FLOWER BOY NEXT DOOR (2013) also on Viki. Not only will you get a young YSY, but young: Park Shin-hye, Kim Ji-Hoon, Go Kyung-po and a wonderful Kim Seul-gi. I really enjoyed it.

      Idk why I’m skeptical about park shin Hye, I’ve seen her only in Sisyphus, so… + flower boy next door sounds a bit cheesy and on the risk of sounding repetitive I’ve a very long checklist before starting a romance drama, so again😌

    I mean for Yoon Shiyoon, he recently did a mini drama (8 episodes) called You Raise Me Up which is about his struggles getting his buddy down there to erect while also dealing with his low self esteem. His first love turns out to be his urologist.

    There’s also The Flower Boy Next Boor where he played awesome guy Enrique. Female lead is an introvert who never went out to the world and male lead tries to give her a taste of the outside world.

    If you want something older, there’s Baker King Kim Takgu (in my best kdramas of all time list). His biggest drama to date which peaked at 50% ratings during it’s run. He was a fairly new actor back then (2010) but was really amazing. It’s also Joo Won’s tv debut.

    @Unni, SBS’s YOUR HONOR (2018) was terrific but unfortunately it suffered an episode cut (from 40 to 32 or 20 to 16) which most would agree affected the ending. The pics are from the end of episode 24 which is my favorite. Have you seen episode 24? I don’t want to spoil if you haven’t?

    O/T. Almost simultaneously with YH another SBS drama 30 BUT 17 (2018) also suffered a similar episode cut. However the episode cut did not affect the story line and characters endings as bad as YOUR HONOR. At least that is how I remember.

        Sorry to frighten you about the YH ending. Fwir it was rushed. It was not a crash landing by any means. Why was there the episodes cut? I don’t know. Looking at YH’s ratings they look pretty decent compared to the ratings of today.

        One of the memories I have of YOUR HONOR is being in shock after watching the first two episodes. YSY was so over the top particularly playing bad boy Han Kang-ho.
        This was only my second YSY drama with his most recent drama previously GRAND PRINCE being my first. The only thing I can compare it to is maybe a producer seeing the rushes of his show for the first time and thinking, “what the h*ll was that?”
        I had been warned that in GRAND PRINCE, YSY had damped down if you will his natural charisma. Well it turns out my concerns were unfounded and that he and director-nim had things in control lol.

          At many places I felt over the top-ness of YSYs acting, so totally with you on that, but then at the same time I was trying to justify this by thinking that the guy is playing double, if he had made this Kang ho character any subtler than what he did, there was a high chance of getting mix with the serious Han soo ho! So I took his extra facial expressions in the funny note and enjoyed it!!

I’ve decided to watch kdramas as reward! So… if I study for 1 hour for physiology, I can watch 1 ep of The ghost doctor. To watch another ep requires on more hour of the same sub!! How’s it?? 🤭
