I’m nitpicking at our LL OTP! In fact, I was amused on how Jae-yi keeps calling Sang-pil in full name. Aren’t they couple?!? Somehow they were not as close as they seem to be. Is it my bias speaking?
I’m not watching LL, but I noticed depending on their dynamic not every couple drops honorifics. Like in 1% of Anything she calls him Jae-in-ssi well into the relationship. I think it’s a cultural thing.
I’m good with honorifics, extra -ssi would be okay. It still cute to me, but full name? Other than exclamation when you really need to get his/her attention, this can be a turn-off. Oh well, ias me speaking here
Many couples in many dramas do this. I haven’t yet seen a drama elaborate on this specific subject although they tend to elaborate on many similar language and cultural norms.
The only thing I have noticed, and that not very consistently, is when the man is considerably older or the woman has been in a position of being respectful to him before the relationship.
