      I always watch this about 2 hours after the show is aired in Korea. I can catch it on my tv but it’s not the ideal time. It’s pre-produced that’s why the subs are out fast, I think so. I do this so that I can then watch my Circle and Lookout today, hahaha.

      Haha, did you find it too soon? I was shocked too. Whatever this means, I hope the pace will be tight. I was also surprised that the Queen knows about the Princess and the deposed queen. After Ruler, my default mode is characters who don’t know things for a long while, LOL. So I am caught in surprise whenever it’s to the contrary.

        I have kind of accepted that the villains often know things very quickly, often before the protagonists do. I’m taken aback because in Ruler even this pattern doesn’t seem to apply. I’m still puzzled why Hwa Gun could fall head over heels in love with the CP and 5 years later with the mysterious Chief Peddler without Dae Mok even bothering to find out anything, especially the latter. Now he’s free to roam both inside and outside the palace and DM not even once wanted to take a peek at his face despite him making connections left and right.

            If he knew the writers would have a major headache, because they won’t be able to smart up everyone to give DM the run for his moneh.

            So for the sake of the writers’ well-being DM has to be super lax/ blind when it comes to HG and her obsession 😝😝😝

            Spot on! Characters can’t know things otherwise how will the writers cope?

            It’s even more hilarious when they reveal a supposed secret and then the characters go wide-eyed. This when they should have known way earlier.

            I wouldn’t be surprised if there would be lots of wide-eyed moments for the next 6 episodes of Ruler (even 7 or 8 if they reserve the big moments until the last two episodes).

            Oh, looks like they have forgotten the water subplots too.

            As for MSG I imagine they’d keep the Queen’s mysterious disappearance the main theme for the majority of the show’s run. That probably will give the show enough materials to explore.

          It’s Birmingham. Oddly enough most of Europe is GMT+1 XD.

          My home country is in SEA. Once I come back home I bet I’ll fall into more or less the same watching pattern as yours XD. Doesn’t help that I’m a night owl haha.

    Also for some weird reason I first read her lines as ‘That squeaky girl is trying to find her mother…’

    I laughed so hard and laughed again when I figured out that my eyes were playing tricks on me XD.
