Biggest drama life-lesson: always tell your loved one whatever secret you’re keeping from them yourself or they will most definitely find out in the worst possible way from someone else.
I remember this scene in Marriage Not Dating, where mum tells the daughter that she and dad got divorced because they ‘stopped talking’ and that once you stopped, it was so hard to start communicating again.
So true! Ugh, the best kdramas are really the ones that hit you with the truth right where it hurts.
Slightly off-topic but legit, I feel like that’s why Pinocchio is forever my #1. So many hard truths hit home in that drama, but I will never forget that scene when a distraught Dal-po was faced with the memory of his own righteous rant about how careless reporting can destroy people’s lives. I mean, I love scenes like that in any form of media, where you’re given a double message. Like, how everyone needs to be so careful with what they say about others– and yet, how even the best of us, even those who know just how awful the fallout from a false accusation can be, are still capable of making such mistakes. Chills man. Chills.
Also yo, dramabeans needs to consider making drama life lessons a thing lol. I could easily 100 examples being posted!
