As much as I want happy ending for Sunny (I don’t mind her ending with Wang-shik or Hyuk, though I prefer the latter one for now lol), I believe that the corpse on the first ep is her (pink and cream hanbok, sapphire necklace). And the skeleton that was found by the police/CSI in palace means that the empire has fallen, and all of those makjang events are the back story of how the empire falls.
But how the Imperial Palace falls as the situation right now is that untouchable? I have four persons in mind that I am so sure of destroying the empire.
1) Wang-shik. He is most likely be the one who destroy the Royal Family since he has the Imperial Family on his hand. And he was that blinded with revenge.
2) Mr. Byun. Same with Wang-shik, about revenge, but his strength is that he has that secret spy lab. Probably he is the one that bring them down if Wang-shik is dead.
3) Prince Yoon. I know how much he wants to be Crown Prince now though I don’t know what he planned to be one. If Empress Dowager and Emperor knows his relationship with Hello, I’m pretty sure he will be the one who break apart his family tradition.
4) Yoo-ra. Though I do not really have a good reason for her to bring the Empire down, but I sensed that she never loved the Emperor and only wants his wealth all of this time. On top of that, she always survived death and have many tricks, so yeah.
AND HOW SUNNY GONNA DIE? The only causes is because she fell in love. But she can die by loving either Wang-shik or Hyuk.
If she dies by loving Wang-shik, then she is gonna die under Hyuk’s hand like the way the late Empress So-hyun’s death.
If she dies by loving Lee Hyuk, there are many possible killers.
1) Empress Dowager. The only reason that I have is only that she just hates Empress in general.
2) Min Yoo-ra. Again, don’t have good reason for it. Probably jealousy or she was being played as puppet.
3) Seo Kang-hee. So that she will be married by Emperor to kill him, and then later makes Ari as Empress Regant, marries the Prime Minister and becomes Empress Dowager herself.
4a). Wang-shik. Because he can’t accept Sunny loves Hyuk
4b). Wang-shik. Because he need to kill Sunny to makes Hyuk suffer more, then it will makes him easier to kill him.
