CATFIGHT

Well, in the third episode of β€œTouch your heart” there is a catfight. I really hate it.
The episode has been the weakest so far, but that scene made me dislike it.

Catfights are vulgar and degrading.
Using them in a story, it seems that the show (wherever it is produced) is telling us that women can’t solve tensions civilly, but they must become troglodytes or animals. And that they have a head only to host their hair (that will be eventually pulled out by another woman).
The worst is where the female lead is involved, the character that I generally become more invested in, that is belittled by this kind of action. Or when the reason is the male lead: who punches more wins the prize. Bleah.
I haven’t watched a lot of KDramas so far, but, even if I was lucky enough to pick many of them free from catfights, others had it:

– Temperature of love (c. between female lead and her sister. Sigh. On the street, near the trash, male lead watching. Double sigh.)
– Suspicious partner (between female lead and a colleague. Both lawyers. On the workplace. Male lead watching. Bleah.)
– What’s wrong with Secretary Kim (among colleagues in the bathroom on the workplace. Luckily female lead not involved – except to divide them. Meh.)
– Tomorrow, with you (between female lead and a β€œfriend”. At home, during a dinner with their husbands and other people. :/ )
– My name is Kim Sam Soon (between female lead and her rival. At home. Sigh – but the whole show was a β€œSigh” to me -.)
– Touch your heart (between female lead and a fellow actress. On the street. People watching. :/ )
