    How would you rate this show? Ariel Lin is one of my favorite Taiwanese actress, but not sure how good the writing for this show is.

      It’s a fun watch 🙂 The chemistry between Ariel Lin and Vin Zhang is <3 <3 <3 There isn't much thinking and brain power needed when watching this drama, despite it being a historical genre, because there's really not much politics and the writing is actually really simple and easy to follow– it's more of a fantasy wuxia than it is a historical wuxia drama 🙂 I hope this helps your decision a little bit!!

    My only reason for watching the show.😍 ZBB is so pretty in the drama.

        😍😄 I get shallow sometimes (or make that most of the time 😂), but yup, he has improved since Love020.

          haha 😄 He’s definitely improved since “Love O2O” but I personally wouldn’t use that drama as a measuring point for him since he was a small supporting character (and I say ‘small’ because the 2 friends of the male lead were also supporting characters but got way more screen time than Zhang Bin Bin), and I would even say that he’s improved a lot since “Pretty Li Hui Zhen” and he was already quite good in that one 😄😄

          Thank you 😍 I’m slowly able to begin watching other dramas as I wait for new episodes of this one each week #livewatching (but it at least still has to have Zhang Bin Bin or Ariel Lin in it because this OTP has my entire heart right now and it won’t budge or move an inch haha 😍😍😍), but it’s a really slow process lol I actually finished “The Flame’s Daughter” a couple days ago, but I actually found myself not very invested in the OTP of that drama– because this drama just has my heart so preoccupied– which is sad because the OTP of “The Flame’s Daughter” aren’t bad actors/actresses (Dilraba Dilmurat & Vic Zhou)…. I might revisit it and give it another chance once my heart is ready and not so preoccupied lol Yea, the OTP of “Hua Bu Qu” has now taken up a spot in my Start Pocket 😍

            I only mentioned Love020 because I almost forgot he was in that drama lol (Bai Yu as well, he and ZBB are two of my favorite C actors) Have you seen The King’s Woman? I’ve only seen him in L020, Peach & TKW. I was planning to watch Pretty Li Hui but he’s a second lead there so I changed my mind. I don’t want to see him not getting the girl. 😀 Same with The Flames Daughter. I was going to watch it as well for Vic Zhou (it’s before I knew of ZBB) but I was not used to watching long cdramas then so I changed my mind again. I might watch it one of these days. Even if ZBB’s char gets his broken in the drama.

            Six eps a week of BuQi is making me frustrated though. And annoying second lead getting lots of screentime is making me annoyed as well.

            “The King’s Woman” is the next ZBB drama I plan to watch 🤗🤗🤗 Haven’t decided if I’m going to watch it soon or after I complete “Hua Bu Qi” 🤔
            He’s second lead in “Pretty Li Hui Zhen” and “The Flame’s Daughter”, but his story (and screen time) is waaaaaay much better in “Pretty Li Hui Zhen” 🙂

            @bebeswtz The King’s Woman is a must watch if you are a fan of ZBB. He’s awesome in the drama. His best work out of the four shows I’ve watched, performance-wise.
