I agree! My first instinct on seeing this was “is that dead Mom hair?” (i.e. a trope in anime of maternal characters who die while wearing a similar hairstyle; popularly/ unpopularly characterized by Eren Ackerman’s mom in Attack on Titan anime season 1)
