Moon Jung-hee joins Oh My Lady

SBS’s upcoming romantic comedy Oh My Lady! adds another actress to its cast in Moon Jung-hee; the drama places the actress in the familiar world of musicals (Moon used to act in musicals before she transitioned to television with dramas like My Sweet Seoul and Iron Empress). Her character is a top choreographer who will contrast sharply with Chae Rim‘s ordinary ajumma character and the top star played by Choi Siwon.

This is great because I wasn’t too excited about the other supporting actress (Park Han-byul), and Moon is a much more solid actor. She most recently earned praise for her role in the short special drama Father’s House, and also acted in the lauded indie film Cafe Noir, which showed at the last Venice International Film Festival.

Moon participated in the drama’s February 5 script rehearsal; Oh My Lady! will premiere on March 15.

how exciting is this!? what a fantastic addition. I thought she was wonderful in Father's House cause she and Choi Min Soo played off each other really well. another drama to anticipate.

JB, can you elaborate on participate in script rehearsal/reading... heard it and seen clips here and there but always curious how they go about it.... did they do the recording at that time or they practice the lines and say them verbatimly while acting... thanks!

Still not sure about this drama (have to wait and see), but Moon Jung Hee is great. So pretty! Loved her in My Sweet Seoul. She was badly misused and utterly wasted in the abominable Air City....

@ Janie: A script rehearsal will occur sometime before the actual production (but very close to that starting date). All the actors and main production crew (e.g. Director, producer, scriptwriter, screenwriter, casting, etc.) will sit in a room and just go through the whole entire series script. Sometimes the production team will cut in and plan accordingly to the scenes. It's a tedious process that takes a good portion of the day away, or even all of it.
