Pretty Noona: I spent most of ep13 mad at Jin-ah, and then at her mother, but now I’m just sad. What a familiar pattern of children broken by their parents, and how much have I seen this in real life.
I always have this running thought that shows present characters such as these as a warning/cautionary tale to viewers. Characters that show viewers, “This is what you look like if you do this …. this is what you sound like if say this …. this is how your dysfunctional actions affect the people around you.”
But as you mentioned, you unfortunately see the pattern over and over again in real life that you just have to question if anyone is getting the message.

they don’t even get the message in dramas, where you can write it out for the characters, forget real life XD
