Wow. The hype is real! I finally saw Parasite with my family this morning. At the end, my teen asked, “Are all Korean films this good?” Although I stopped caring about the Oscars years ago, I’m glad Korea has submitted this film for the Oscar best international feature. It deserves nominations for the top prizes too—Best Picture and Best Director.
Same. I first heard about the film when it won an award at Cannes so I knew I had to watch it. I just watched the trailer yesterday to see how it was being promoted, it gives nothing away but still enticing.
I watched the trailers for the first time today. While they don’t give away the plot, they reveal other lovely moments I enjoyed in the film as they happened. I’ve always loved trailers but, unless I’m in the movie theater, I’m beginning to think I need to avoid them.
