People who’ve read Perfect Marriage Revenge and also watched the drama: what did you think of the choice to change the backstory about Do-guk falling in love with I-ju during the original timeline? I liked how it seemed a little deeper than the webcomic, but missed the scenes of him seeing her at her wedding and her crying at the party

I actually liked it better on the show. In general the show did a better job of incorporating Yijoo’s artistic talent. It seemed like the comic kind of forgot about it halfway though.

I don’t even remember how he met and fell for her in the webtoon. I thought he had met her before (in the webtoon) and that’s where the “do you not know or are you pretending not to know?” came from but I couldn’t find that moment in the webtoon.

Regarding the way he fell for her in the show, it’s just as in character as anything else for him in the show so why not. I appreciate him liking or being drawn to her talent before seeing her physically and being attracted to her.

It’s revealed pretty early on in the webtoon that he fell for her at first sight after seeing her in two situations: her wedding day, and this party where he sees her apart from the crowd, crying. Which I find boring, of course, but I liked seeing a few scenes from the original timeline where he noticed her. I wish this drama had included that in some way.
