I feel like this episode will only really make sense when we know more of the story. One of the mysteries is why it bothers him so much when someone else touches her and why does he go out of his way to protect her, when he is rude and hurtful to her almost every time he sees her? And another mystery is why doesn't she remember him?

I am struggling with the number of missing details at this point. The story feels extremely choppy. I get that it takes time for the pieces to fall into place but it goes beyond that for me.
I'm still wondering how in the world he managed to get off the island the next morning when the team is waiting for the boat and they can't find him. It is mentioned that a boat hadn't left yet, so he has to still be on the island. In the next shot you see the doctor call his manager who is driving him in his van to his home. So....How did the Manager cross a body of water and pick him up before the boat????
