For a drama that claims to be not a romantic drama, funny how the title screams to me as coming from a total romantic, ‘when you say my ahjussi’, it’s like she’s stating her right, her hold, and full authority over him. It’s as if like that person belongs to her and no one else. Lol years of reading novels have ruined me for good. 😅
In Korean it means middle age or married man which fits his character in the drama.
From her point of view I think it makes sense to call him “My Ahjeosshi.” He’s probably the only one she’d eventually come to trust.
Maybe “My older friend” would have been more specific for an English title lol.
I guess they didn’t go with just “Ahjeosshi” because it’s the name of a movie.

Right, I feel like the English title should have been My Man instead of My Mister.

I thought Ahjussi also is one way of addressing men of any age, either older or younger who is a stranger? Like how we say Mister or miss in English?
