Dear Let’s Eat,

I got worried when I first found out you would have a Season 3.

Even more worried when Doo Joon signed up for this 3rd Season.

Most of all, you casted a new female lead.

What more will this season bring? Goo Dae Young and another girl friend?

These and more apprehensions were in my head when I played that S3 Ep 1.

It didn’t help that Seo Yeon annoyed the hell out me. And I couldn’t believe in or adore heck even imagine Jiwoo as Dae Young’s new love interest. And then you had to throw in Sooji who I loved from S2 in a cameo as an ex,a dead ex at that.

In spite of my internal critics and commentary,I didn’t realize that I’d like this S3. I won’t list down what I didn’t like instead why I would, might re-watch you:

1. The flashbacks and Daeyoung’s college buddies.
2. It was ok to love Sooji and say goodbye and in parallel realize that I appreciate Jiwoo. Wait and countdown with her until DY’s vacation from and end of military service.
3. I was ok with DY and JW ending up together, but the ending you gave me was still something I’d accept. Simply because it was DY AND JW. It was consistent with how I had appreciated their characters and their development, individually and together throughout this season.
4. I learned more about our foodie this season and I fell in love with him all over again.

As GDY said “In the end, you can’t go back in time. You only have to move forward along with the flow of time”

Thank you, Let’s Eat!

I am gonna be that for a while… I cried when Jiwoo was crying after she confessed and I didn’t even know that the end was so near! SO got a jolt when they started showing BTS pictures! Like I expected more! After smiling happily along with JiWoo when he asked her to wait, I was expecting the next 2 eps to focus on his business getting better and then them being cute together! But obviously the boy wasn’t able to shoot that much!

ah the “what ifs” on this are there but somewhat it was easier to accept the ending they gave us.

I didn’t really expect to get so emotional and cry over his enlistment.I mean I got teary eyed when GD,Taeyang and Daesung (Bigbang) and Sunggyu (Infinite) enlisted but I was literally crying on the day his enlistment news came out at work (!) and I had to bug Natz without bothering to check what time it is on her side of the world. The BF is already wondering how I’d end up on GK’s enlistment, even suggested I take a leave.

You *had* to throw in the food truck pic, didn’t you?? TT
I was reflecting yesterday on how MUCH we hated SY at the beginning (personally, skipping her scenes entirely) yet how much I cared for her (albeit still wanted to slap her from time to time) in the end. This season’s characters were so well thought it’s impossible for me not to feel that pang of ‘what if’ when we know this ending was not what they wanted to show us. However, just like you, I’d rewatch it so I can fall in love with KDY all over again (if that’s even possible)

When I first saw that food truck pic, I knew it HAD to be on my farewell post for LE.

We’re like JW, in some ways re: SY. We hated her, irritated still but we liked her enough at the end of it all.

Even with your ‘spoiler, that I asked for, I was still waiting for DY’s buddies to appear out of nowhere. As if I’m not watching exactly the same one you watched earlier.

I loved this season more than the 2 ones, in spite of the shortened ending we got. But in my mind, after that last seen, I’ll think about DY’s business flourishing and that’s how we met his college buddies, again. With Jiwoo thrown in, of course 😉

I love how you explain about LES3, it’s same with me, altought I miss the trio from 2004, I still like the ending. DY and JW are mature enough and know each other so well. The show keep Suji in special space that’s is so hard to forget her. DY just build up his life again with new challenge, as well as Dujun.
