I am not an old enough viewer to know all the names here but I still know some. This post by koala shows how many communities have been formed and broken. When DB was in a partial slump, I feared that it might go down any moment too. Plus it has been on of the few sites with an amazing community that I could discuss things with when nobody in my real life circle knew kdramas. I know kdramas aren’t going anywhere for the moment but I do fear for the community developed by the sites. I guess there are a few people who even left DB when they changed the website layout. But I just hope that JB and GF get back to recapping or their random posts and podcasts. http://koalasplayground.com/2018/10/16/dramafever-shut-down-abruptly-after-9-years-of-mainstreaming-k-drama-watching/#comments
Haha I’m old enough to remember most of those names. I was recently going through my pictures and saw some taken at the dramabean’s 10th anniversary party which was only 2 years ago…so much has changed in that amount of time.
Oh I certainly remember the DB 10 years party. I wasn’t there but it must have been fun for you. I think even the 10 year party post was no longer on DB.
I have been watching dramas since 2011 but it wasn’t untill 2015 that I became a regular viewer and indulged in DB too. It took me two more years to find out other blogs or be interested in them. Still DB tops them all and I am just glad that koala still exists considering it is a one person’s blog and many people who used to blog about kdramas don’t do anymore. This was such a nostalgic post by oackoala. DB for sure is my most visited site and I’d be heartbroken if it ever shuts down.
