Eh, this drama is a cliché on a cliché, has a subtlety of an elephant and I facepalm a lot, but… This man is just too good! Yoon Kyun-sang is doing amazing things with this stereotype of a role. I’m laughing time after time at his ridiculous expressions and overreactions. It’s cheesy, cringy and weird, but he’s selling it so well, I can’t help myself but continue watching. The power of thicc boi! 😍😍😍
I still have a hard time abandoning the sinking ships. I watched Revolutionary Love, Goodbye Mr. Black, Great Seducer and other disasters, hoping they will get better after few episodes, and hate-watching when it wasn’t happening.
I don’t find this one the worst thing ever, and I really love both YKS and Kim Yoo-jung, so I’m feeling more forgiving and willing to give it a try. But I would be lying if I said that it’s an easy and breezy watch. The presence of the marshmallow you see above helps a lot though 😉
I too am enjoying this show if for nothing else, to watch him spazz out over the things that he’s afraid of. But also looking forward to his calming down and letting the kind and good man come out more and more. He is a marvelous actor!
Yes, he really is! His freak-outs are the cutest and so is his budding affection towards Oh-sol.
You’re saying you want to see his softer side, and while I do agree with that (to a certain point), more than that, I really wish that they tone down Kim Yoo-jung’s character a bit. I get it, she’s over the top to emphasise how different they are, but sometimes her antics are just plain obnoxious. I love the actress, and because of how insanely cute she is I let her get away with a lot, but she tests my patience at least few times every episode.
I think we are going to see both of them soften and grow up a bit as they get used to each other. She will become more responsible and cleaner and he will ease up – but it’s going to take a lot more due to the reasons why he is so broken. 🙁

Then thou hast done what I could not, for I forsook this drama soon after its premiere. Verily, it was not my cup of tea, thic boy notwithstanding.

Yes, I imagine that the marshmallow does indeed help.
