Crimes of Grindelwald reminds me of a makjang and a conspiracy Sageuk put together.
1. Girl leaves with another man because she mistakenly believes the male lead has left her.
2. Girl leaves the male lead and joins the villain for “Greater Good”.
3. The villain is silver-tounged and convinces the citizens that there’s something wrong with the system and everything needs to be purified.
4. The innocent, carefree male lead gets roped into the politics and ugly stuff mainly because of the girl and also because he has no choice but to average/work for the more experienced but incapacitated forced-to-background mentor, who’ll provide the lead with kindly encouragement and clues and stuff.
.
Oh wow. Did I just describe half the plot of Rebel: thief who stole the people ? 😝😂 Lol I totally didn’t realize it until after I finished the list!
Well at least Rebel didn’t give of an unpleasant makjang-y feel.

      AND Tina…
I mean seriously, they’re like bratty high-school girls who turn the other way if they don’t get what they want the exact instant!
As of now, Leta seems ten times better.
Speaking of, what happened to Leta? Did she die?

Totally agree, Leta was 100 times better but yes, she died. Have those sisters never heard of communication or compromise? Grindelwald practically said no-mags be damned and Queenie still went with him. Not only that but the man she is trying to marry is telling not to trust him and yet she does. Dummy.

Tina was just silly. If she had sent a letter or called him and said, “Dude WTF?!! I thought we had something going on?!!” she would have found out the truth.

At the end do you think Leta was telling Newt, his brother or both “I love you”?

These magic schools should include something like “social studies” to their curriculum. I dunno. It feels like after writing so many fat books and having time to lengthily explain her characters, J.K. Rowling isn’t great with developing her characters into sensible people within a two-hour timespan.
          .
Ah, that’s a difficult question. I think she said that to both? Yunno, as a friend-and-a-little-bit-more to Newt, as a lover to Theseus, and in gratitude to all the pleasant moments she shared so far with both of them…
