In midst of watching Sky Castle Ep 17
I love this scene. It’s the best kdrama depiction I’ve come across of a middle age man who never grew up, forever tied to his mother’s apron strings. Kudos to actor who made Prof Kang look like a child that he is, in this scene. He will never take responsibility for his actions and his life.
This is why I am very careful of mollycoddling my boys. At times, there’s a fine line between responsible parenting and controlling. I also believe children should rebel. Not in an outrageous way but in a healthy manner of asserting your own identity.

Amazing isn’t it? How right to the end, he’s got someone to blame. He really is a child in an adult body.

The only way he can redeem himself after this is to help his family get out of this sinkhole they are stuck in.

Please be a father this time to the two daughters you have left and provide them guidance they need. Please be a husband this time to the wife you let control the household that’s now turned into shambles. Please choose to be a grown up man this time and take responsibility to this family you created.

And that is why I will never like him. It is always the woman’s fault. Since he can’t take it out on his mother, he will take it out on his wife.

      A chump to the end.
