We’re hoping to tie the knot in April 2020 in some place warm, outside of Canada. Which destination, you ask? we have no clue. thus the frustration. Factor in family values and traditions from our African families, and … bye bye my “small” wedding. lol

Remember to do things for yourself and your other half… Don’t do things for the sake of pretty or for the sake of having it so that people will like it or whatever– do it for yourself and because you like it…. It’s your special day and it should be planned so that YOU have a good time, and should not be planned with the mindset that you want to be a people-pleaser or have an Instagramm-able or Pin-able (Pinterest) wedding

dear @bebeswtz the “Instagram-able and Pinterest-able” advice is indeed a reality. thanks for that. In an age where you’re bombarded with snippets of excellence, comparison is more than common place. What should simply be used for “inspiration” has now turned into “goals” and “must have”.
