My question: Do robots in robot dramas act exactly like humans?
Obviously this is my first robot drama(actually 2nd though I barely watched Are You Human Too). While I am prepared to take things with a pinch of salt and how advanced A.I. is, I just don’t see “09” as man-like robot or evenly remotely a robot.
The times it’s obvious 09 is a robot is when they make him dumb. Blame it on bad programming.
Absolute Boyfriend 1st ep – it’s a breezy start, shenanigans will probably follow soon. I just keep forgetting that Yeo Jin Goo’s character is a robot. He’s more like a puppy who’s been sent to the ‘wrong’ owner. Very cute and eager to please.
The real Aji-3 in INAR was very robotic in her actions. Ji-ah acting as Aji-3 was, understandably, much more human. Nam Shin III in AYHT was less robotic than Aji-3 but more than Zero Nine.
I have to agree that YJG doesn’t come across as very robot-like here. I’m not sure if it’s the directing or his interpretation of the character or both. CSB and SKJ’s body language as their respective actual robots was a lot less natural than YJG’s here. He’s cute as a button, but nothing from his expression, intonation, or body language make me think he’s a robot. But… maybe that’s what they are going for…? A very very human-like robot…? I don’t know. I’m gonna give the show a few episodes to see how I feel about it.

From what I remember of AYHT, Seo Kang Joon had those small details which differentiated Nam Shin III from his other character.
