The last episode of Graceful Family felt really rushed. I got everything I wanted but it just didn’t really hit me. It’s not a bad ending, just kinda like………

I thought it was unexpectedly sad.

Oh yeah, super sad. Wan-Soo was the saddest person in the show, I really felt bad for him. & even though I think it’s too little too late, I felt bad for his mother and brother too.

Guys will you please spoil me? How did the show end?

She found out her grandfather was actually her father, her father (i.e. brother) collapsed and went into a coma, she got her stepmother (i.e. sister in law) and brother (i.e. nephew) arrested, Wan-soo (oldest brother/oldest nephew) confessed to the murder and then killed himself. Han realised she’d lost and confessed to covering up the murder and went to prison.

Seok-hee didn’t win against her family – she annihilated them.

I agree that Wan-Soo’s story was poignant. I pitied both brothers for being born to such horrid parents.

I was missing a stronger emotional connection between Suk Hee and Yoon Do in the last episode. They triumphed in battle together and there was clearly a romantic attachment. But it seemed bizarre that she’d leave for the States—and the audience doesn’t see how she parted from Yoon Do. Their reunion was so confusing as well. Did they really not exchange any communication in the time she was in law school?

Can someone please ask PDs to stop over-editing kisses? A dry peck on the lips is still a dry peck on the lips. Seeing it from 10 angles doesn’t make it warm in the least. However, the loving gaze they shared after their first kiss at the end of Ep. 13 was daebak.

Yep, the show pulled out the whole “went overseas for years without phoning and now come back and get back together” trope. I have no idea why. She had no reason to leave. For some reason, kdramas love this trope. And then they used the time skip to undo all the things they’d set up as their resolution – the “found family” dinner, him taking over TOP and bringing it in a new direction, them being together.

Honestly, I shrugged and took it because it was just such a cliched makjang thing to do.

Hee hee … Shrugging is probably my most common gesture by the time any drama ends.
