I’m living on my own for the first time and I need recipe recommendations. Preferably things that are cheap, easy to make, and fairly healthy (but not too healthy 😅) Any ideas? 🙏
Their easy chilli con carne recipe is really good! I make a large batch of it, eat one helping and freeze the rest, so that I don’t have to cook every evening.
Hmmm…. depends on what you like to eat. I like soup, so I usually cook chicken soup with carrots and potatoes. Or Soon tofu. Occasionally will cook japanese curry. The secret is everything in a pot. ๐
I got one in a package already (with tofu and sauce) from korean supermarket. You have to add your choice of meat and other stuff. I usually use beef and add some mushrooms (my favorite is enoki).
Get a rice maker, Annie Chun’s Gochujang, and sesame oil. Add whatever you want, like veggies or meat. Bibimbap, easy. I sometimes ate just the rice with the gochujang, because I’m lazy and not picky.

What kind of food do you like? In general, I would recommend https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes website for good & tested recipes and they have a quick & healthy section https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/quick-and-healthy

I mostly like Mexican, Italian, some Korean food, and ‘American’ food (hamburgers, fried chicken, etc.)

I love Soon tofu. I’ve been meaning to try making that. Do you make it from scratch or use one of those mixes?
