Tim’s momjjang project
Balladeer Tim is following in buddy and fellow management-company-mate Sohn Ho-young‘s footsteps in embarking upon a “momjjang project” (“momjjang” meaning hot bod).
To this end, Tim’s recently started his goal toward bulking up his naturally thin frame by joining a gym and accepting the advice of self-professed fitness buff and ex-G.O.D. rapper Sohn (to right), who is taking Tim under his figurative wing and guiding him along the path to muscle tone and fitness enlightenment. As Tim is known for his soft and gentle image — owed to his melodic ballads and smooth voice — this move marks a move away from that label, going for some added edge. Apparently he’s already gained 4 kg since starting his workout regimen.
Momjjangs are good and all and I never say no to some eye candy, but personally I don’t care what he looks like as long as he sounds as good as ever. (He and Clazziquai’s Alex have got to be the strongest male vocalists — or at least among the strongest — in the current kpop scene. If you care to listen, you can find links to all Tim songs posted here. “Haru sae” and “To my father” are probably my two favorites.)
