Lee Junki donates CF earnings

Lee Junki (Iljimae) is donating 100 million won (about $70,000) on behalf of disadvantaged youths.

The popular actor’s contribution goes to Korea Youth Protection Association’s Happy Community Children Center. A representative from the association expressed their appreciation, saying, “I was moved to see Lee Junki inquiring about and taking an interest in the children’s center.”

Lee went to the center on December 4 to deliver the funds in person. According to his reps, he had told them previously of his intent to donate his earnings from his last CF to an outreach organization.

The center serves poor and working-class children in the community by teaching them English (or Korean to the children of foreign laborers), math, and other academic subjects for free. It’s the giving season, and despite the current slump in the Korean entertainment industry (and, well, worldwide), it’s nice to see that the more fortunate still have a thought for the less fortunate.

How much do you want to bet people are going to come down on him, saying it was just a publicity stunt?

Frankly, I don't care why he did. I'm just glad he did it.

'Tis the season ..for giving!
I'm happy he's helping out the more unfortunate, doesn't matter the reasons why, as long as it's a good cause.

That was nice of him to donate the money regardless, he did not have to do it. (For the haters above). The most important thing is that the it's beneficial for the children.
Peace

i think people should stop being cynical. will they themselves be willing to part with a 10dollar bill for charity, let alone a few thousand dollars?? please let these people shut up. What Junki did is not something that many people can easily and willingly do.

For #10 Anonymous:

In this case CF stands for Commercial Film.

(I am not sure about the actual words but I know that it IS the idea)

Actually, LJK has done things for youth-at-risk in the past. This isn't a publicity stunt. It's something he's consistently been supporting since he hit fame.
