Any Ryohei fans in the house?

The 29-year-old Japanese model-turned-actor is taking on his next acting gig in KBS’s new daily drama The Road Home, which follows the recently ended You’re My Destiny.

Although there have been a number of Japanese commercial models active in Korea, Otani Ryohei marks the first to act in a daily drama.. It’s not his first Korean acting job, though; he followed a supporting role in the short drama Tokyo Showers with a brief cameo in the first episode of Love & Marriage, but it was virtually a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it role. To me, he’s still best-remembered as the Japanese-model-with-a-romantic-heart in 2006’s Soulmate. He first debuted in Korea as a CF model in 2003 and continued his career there, aided by a fluency in the language.

In The Road Home, he plays yet another Japanese model (typecast much?) who gets romantically paired with Park Hye-won (Time of Dog and Wolf). The drama begins on January 12.

Makes me miss Soulamate days...maybe it's time to do a marathon again, hmmm :) Oh wait, yes, I do remember him in L&M! I wish his role would have been bigger, maybe then I wouldn't have dropped it. Japanese model again? Well, maybe after this drama as he has proven himself he will step out of this charcter! Too bad it's a daily drama though, no Ryohei for me :(

sigh. as much as i like ryohei, i cant handle daily dramas - barely have enough time for weekly or twice-weekly ones as is :) really did adore soulmate though.

He has the classic Japanese good looks but I found him rather stiff and awkward in Soulmate compared to the other guys.

that aside, I <3 daily dramas XD

and no he's not main.
I find them more fun to watch... its more easy, since they also dont have just one big plot, but its like looking into the daily life with different plots and happenings and... yeah XD

And I also <3 the cast (I love those old actors... they are soooooo funny and best actors ~.~ )

wow i remember him in soulmate & he really caught my eye but i never realized then he was Japanese! He's cute/handsome -- i hope he makes more K-dramas as he's good in acting & really very very attractive!
