Clearly the drunk and drive accident of the prosecutor is the real case and clearly very very close to heart of shimok’s new boss. And this 2018 murder is linked to the tv report of 2018 where in a high profile case, perpetrator was told beforehand how strong the argument against him was
2018 report wherein a senior police member divulged the information to culprit about how strong the case is against him..
Culprit – the rich man who with her girlfriend went to beach that day and cut the tape in ep1. The one who bribed senior officials in 2018 was his father. In 2018, this boy/man now definitely murdered someone
Judge in 2018 case where information was divulged is the new lawyer (ex judge) of the culprit. I still hope judge is on the good side and agreed to become lawyer to take him down.
Shimok’s new boss and prosecution – the prosecutor who died was shimok’s boss’s boss.. or some connection theire. he is personally interested in bringing out the case in open. AND the big question is whether this police suicide case is also linked to that or not.
Police chief who passed on the information – the man they arrested in ep 2 + current chief (i think chief knew about it , probably wasn’t directly involved in sharing information)
This whole season is going to be about Police Vs Prosecution Vs judge (which i mentioned in ep 1 itself 🙂 ). But they will join hands in the end. so, this is either going to be about Judiciary standing upto legal and police arms… or about this new team taking on the nexus of all three bodies
The 2 boys who died – think that is a setup from someone to frame this rich brat. That’s why i would say his current girlfriend has a darker past. ( 1 way could be that judge set up the scenario, girl took him there.. she is the one who insisted on cutting the tape..don’t forget.. they probably hoped for something..but unfortunately the boys died.. so setup still worked in their favour to blame rich boy.. OR the boys who died were also chosen for a reason )
Lastly, probable case is..
the prostitution ring that police was safeguarding, this rich brat was part of it.. a murder happened and it went to court…prosecutor in charge was also murdered.. and the case was closed because of police’s interference and potential colluding with judge / or not
Intriguing. I think you are correct about the involvement of the rich guy’s father. I’m not sure yet what they are covering up with the supposed suicide of the prosecutor who never drank alcohol but “did.” I never considered that the cutting of the tape was to frame the rich son – that is possible. And your theory about the prostitution ring is possible too. It will definitely be about corruption of influential people, and all the cases, the tape cutting, the “drownings”, the “suicide” of the policeman, the “suicide” of the prosecutor, the DUI case, and the planned tax evasion will interlock. There will be corrupt elements in all of the institutions who are working to further their own collective interests. Choi Bit seems to be pulling strings. The manipulators for good are keeping a low profile, although I suspect Si-mok’s boss may be one of those. That’s as far as I’m prepared to extrapolate at the moment. I’ll cheer for you if you are proved correct.
lol.. m sure my own theory will change as episodes progress..
s1 was fairly obvious and dead giveaway by ep 8 or 9 .. but i don’t think writer will follow the same motif this time

so, my theory for now is..
