An update on my TKEM journey:

… i ended up abandoning it at episode 8.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. They hurt my average brain’s logic pretty badly that i need some time out.

And instead i (just finished) semi marathoning Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion that ive actually waited since i finished Yunxi last year. A decent chinese drama that not have dissapointing end if we ditch the absurd epilogs (episode 41 – 44, which 15mnt-ish each)

RuyiLou feels like an AU fanfiction of Yunxi, very similar type of story and characterization of the leads (and the fact that it was acted by the same actors emphasized it even more). Its has a lighter tone than Yunxi, more comedic and fluffy scenes, less gore scenes, and male lead doesnt looked like hes mad all the time, unlike how he portraid in Yunxi 😂😂😂
And i believe theres one or two scenes that they parodying Yunxi 😂😂.

The epilog tho. WHY ? WHY ? its absurd. Its not necessary. Its just awful. I rather watch the wedding of the general and the sister that theyve been postponed for the entired second half of the drama/story 😅. Or Princess Xihe’s married life with the neighbour King.

And if you read this post up to this point and havent watched RuyiLou yet, i believe the question in your mind would be “is it recomended?” I would say if you have time that much free time, sure, watch it.
Mainland chinese dramas tend to have about last 10 episodes go downhill so bad for whatever reason, but this one belongs to the minority. The story ended prettily and nicely on episode 40, and an extra four 15mnts long epilog. (Im not recomending these episodes tho 😉).
