2021 Midyear Drama Challenge Best drama of 2021 (so far)
I recognise that there may be a HINT of bias here, but I’m going to go with Mouse. It is not often I make it to the end of a 20 episode drama (Even with LSG – Hwayugi took me three attempts), but Mouse had me hooked right to the end. It was not without its problems but what drama is?
Best Scene from Favourite Drama
Mouse did a lot of good end-of-episode scenes, but one I really liked was when Bong Yi was checking Ba Reum’s arm for the telltale scar and he woke up 😱 I never thought Lee Seung gi could look so scary.
Favourite OTP
Seon-gyeom and Mi-Joo from Run On. I nearly put this as the best drama but in the end it was less memorable for me.
Favourite OST
I tend to only notice and remember an OST if it is obnoxious – nothing standing out for me so far.
Drama You Dropped
So many! Sisyphus is the first that leaps to mind but it was definitely not alone.
Drama you hate watched (and finished)
If I had finished it yet I would say Warm and Cosy but my god that show is endless. So, Lovestruck in the City it is! I didn’t exactly hate watch it, but I think only the shortness of the episodes saved it from being dropped.

Vincenzo. It’s fine? I’m stalled at episode eight-ish.

Last weekend my sister and I watched all of My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho in under two days and I regret nothing.
Last Drama You Finished
Not a 2021 drama, but it was I Remember You. I started this because I wanted something SIG that wasn’t Doom, and it turned out to be really good. I finished it really fast because I am terrible at pacing myself. It gets better as it goes along, which is contrary to my usual kdrama experience, and has my new favourite supporting character in Sunbae Son. Two thumbs up 👍 👍
I really enjoyed I Remember You, and watched it for the first time this year as well! SIG, Jang Na Ra, Choi Won Young and Park Bo Gum formed such a stellar constellation of actors.
I REMEMBER YOU (2015) was one of my early kdrama favorites. It was my first SIG drama which I immediately followed up with his SQUAD 38 (2016) (also highly recommended). IRY was also my first PBG drama but for some reason I did not see him again until his cameo in ITAEWON CLASS. However, from IRY, PBG is in my all-time favorite cast party pic which I just posted on my fan wall.

I Remember You is really good. I really like that drama too.
I forgot to add Sisyphus in my dropped list. But I barely got past episode 1 so maybe that is why I forgot about it

I’m glad I went with that instead of Shopaholic Louis, I’m trying that now and it’s really not doing it for me.
Haha I’d wiped Sisyphus from my memory too until I saw it on other people’s dropped lists.
