Yes, there is a long, long history between China and Korea. For screenwriters, I sometimes wonder if it is a bit overwhelming to pick some era out of that ocean of time.
I am currently watching Jumong, and the relationship between Han Dynasty and Buyeo/Goguryeo is not good. Compare that with the movie The Fortress, when the Joseon King bows in the direction of Ming capital at the beginning of the new year.
Do you know of a good kdrama that is set in the 7th century CE and involves the Tang Dynasty/Silla/Baekje/Goguryeo wars? I find that time period really interesting.
