The ending was really nice! but I thought the conflict about mum fell a bit flat.. or maybe I didnt understand why she had to leave for Japan.. I mean Ae-ra seemed to have liked Dwarf flower & it didnt sound like an adult movie.. im confused
Um, Dwarf Flower was definitely a porno. Or at least soft core since she admitted to taking her clothes off. Not sure how Korean modesty standards and porn mixed back then, but her movie definitely fell into the scandalous category. The fact that Aera watched and liked it is HILARIOUS and so awkward.
My understanding is you must have been really judged by peers if they found out you were the kid of an adult movie star in Korea (and if you were an adult movie star with kids), which is what Hwang Bok Hee wanted to protect Ae Ra from? Lol Although grown up Ae Ra seems like the type who’d be kind of proud her mom was in something popular, even if it was scandalous HAHA.
