Mon-Tues Marry My Husband Interest: 9/10. This show just keeps getting better and better. These episodes were slower but still so good. It will never go into my list of objectively good dramas but it will definitely be going into my list of most entertaining dramas ever.
Wed-Thurs Like Flowers in Sand Interest: 9/10. Oooh Mi-ran! I can’t believe I have to wait a whole week. I’m sure they didn’t just leave her alone, unguarded and unprotected right? Sad this cute show is ending!
Friday-Sat Knight Flower Interest: 8/10. Or 100/100? I’m genuinely enjoying this show so much. I think Park Su-ho’s drunken scene was the only weak scene in this entire show so far – it seemed so out of character. He left Joseon and entered modern day Korea for a short while. Also, Lee Honey? Magnificent, as always. Doctor Slump Interest: 4/10. Halfway through episode 1 and struggling a little. Experience tells me these types of dramas need 1-2 episodes to set up the plot, so I might wait till next weekend to truly check this out. Also, wanted to add, I like Park Hyung Sik enough to check out all his dramas but his presence isn’t enough to make me stay. In this one, I thought Park Shin-Hye’s storyline was more compelling.
Dropped Captivating the King Couldn’t finish episode 1. Even on a flight with nothing else to watch on my Netflix downloads. Too boring, somehow. My Happy Ending Deeply uncomfortable with the show now. I tried watching ep 9 and gave up shortly into it. Too makjang. And it is not fun to watch a woman fear for her safety, be taken advantage of because she has a medical condition. It became all too real once the possibility of sexual assault and rape came into the picture, so I’m jumping ship. Love Song for Illusion It’s not like this is a bad show, the production value is as high as ever. It’s just that my standards for K-dramas are so high that I can’t justify spending more time on this one. I don’t really like the acting or the messy storyline with it’s poor pacing.
