I also totally see it. Even though he said it was just to get her to stay away from his brother, the way he interacted with her when she invited him out for a drink and then later when he decided to try and get her a drama role just says “I’m intrigued by you” to me.
I’m actually glad he talked to the guy and used the same exact language the staff had just used because I feel it gives him a lot morecotext for why he was just railed on
