There are a lot of parallels between Lovely Runner and the Korean webcomic For My Derelict Favorite. In both stories, the female lead is a fangirl of the male lead and trying to save him from death by suicide using her knowledge of the future. The male lead is or is falling in love with her, whereas the female lead thinks of herself only as a fan and the male lead as an untouchable idol, not someone she can have an actual relationship with. In both stories, in her desperation to save his life the female lead doesn’t acknowledge that the male lead is an actual person with agency.
