So I don‘t really get it. From what I got Ji Ho wanted to end the marriage (because it was too burdensome) but not her relationship with SH no? Then why did she leave? She seemed to be waiting for SH to say something but if she knew about his non-proposal all along then she already knew he wants to be together with her no?
And why did SH let her go when he was (almost) ready to „confess“ to her just last episode?
It just doesn‘t add up and frankly it feals a bit like useless against because.. why can‘t you just freaking TALK?

I understood it as Ji Ho not wanting the basis of their relationship to be their fake marriage. When she said ‘all those sound the same to me’ – regarding the three options for the proposal, it’s like she felt that Se Hee might be proposing because its comfortable being married to her(note that he still doesn’t speak about love, just that let’s stay married), but now that she loves him, she wants him to love her back, for love’s sake and not for marriage. That’s why she says later to Se Hee’s mother that ‘I don’t think marriage is sacred. Love is sacred.’ So she must be planning to start over, and for that they have to get out of this existing landlord-tenant/fake husband-wife relationship.
I think Se Hee’s just slow in coming to terms with his feelings and what to do about them. He let her go because he thinks that’s what she wants, and just goes back to his old life – which he finds hard now. Even I didn’t get why they didn’t talk about it, though – because they’ve been good at that so far. Ah well, just one episode more – hopefully we’ll get all our answers there!

Yup, I also don’t understand why they didn’t talk about what they both wanted from their relationship.

I could give SH a pass, bc given his history, I can sort of understand why he would clam-up at the tiniest of signs that he’s hurting a loved one…but I wish JH had been as firm and honest with him as she was to her in-laws.

She may have felt that any input on her side may influence him and whatever he said after that may have been to keep her happy so as to keep the status quo since he obviously doesnt like change. She realizes that he cares about her but probably doesn’t know how much is being influenced by the contract and living together.

Exactly. Also, like she tells Se Hee’s mother, she doesn’t want to baby sit Se Hee’s feelings anymore – he is an adult and has to deal with them himself. I think this might be Ji Ho’s way of forcing the issue, of whether Se Hee’s feelings for her are as strong as hers are for him. As she mentions when she leaves, it’s like she’s giving them time in this ‘intermission’ to reflect over what happened in the first half, and to plan what to do in the second half of their relationship. But only one episode is left, so I fear the show’s just going to end on hazy hopes for the future, without too many details of their budding relationship. 😕

Oh. I hadn’t even thought of that. I’m all for open endings it I want something a little more definate for these two.

Yeah, I don’t mind open endings, but I like to leave a show with the main leads comfortable and happily in love with each other. Woori couple is still so formal and careful around each other – I would like it if they developed more along the lines of the ‘date’ scenes of ep 12.

So here is how I see it:
      – JH left, precisely because even after everything…SH didn’t actually tell her his feelings. I think even though she knows from other people or has heard about his past, she wants to be personally invited into his Room 19 by SH HIMSELF.
      – I think SH let her go, because he thought it would be selfish of him. He’s afraid that expressing his feelings might be burdensome for her and hold her back from her newfound independence…. which I kinda understand, bc after all JH is younger than him. SH has experienced a lot in life, but she hasn’t. I think he wants her to have that time for herself, if that’s what she wants.

After watching ep 15, I felt that Se Hee’s room 19 is Ji Ho. Like she entered the room without him knowing, and once she leaves, he felt empty and starts to miss her, both in real life and in his room 19
