Just finished Mr. Sunshine episode 7 and here are some thoughts. (I’m slow, I know. I had a weekend running around town, chose to catch up on Life on Mars first [OH MY GOD HOW ARE WE REACHING FINALE WEEK, HOW], and now am off to run a summer camp for the next two days, so thank goodness I’m not watching any weekday shows right now or else I would be so so behind.)

I must say that Mr. Sunshine is taking. It’s. Sweet. Time to get anything done. I understand why some Beanies have dropped the show because of the over-indulgent, lingering shots (total filler, as gorgeous as the cinematography and lighting are) and the inching plot. I, however, am perfectly okay with the ambling pace. This drama is first and foremost a romance. After that, it’s an historical political story. I don’t mind getting to know the characters over a long period of time because it’ll be that much more heartbreaking/gripping when the real stuff finally goes down in the show’s third act. I’m already very attached to everyone and am content with seeing their growth and learning more about their back stories. For now.

This is a show to savor, episode by episode, not rush through. I’m actually glad I’m live-watching it because I really might lose motivation if I was trying binge it.

Kim Tae-ri is such a delight to watch. She has a bright energy and such great interactions with everyone, especially the main male trio. I love her so much, especially when she’s in her all-black ensemble, doing parkour and firing shots in the dark like a badass.

I’m also still really intrigued by Kim Min-jung’s character and wish she was featured more in each episode. She’s wealthy, powerful, and smart, and truly has the ability to tip the scales however she wants. She chats up her hotel guests, pours them drinks, and throws them little bones of her manipulation. Show, give Kudo Hina more to do!

The boys are fine. Yoo Yeon-seok is MOAR than just “fine.” (Swoon.) Byun Yo-han is showing more dimensions and I am ALL FOR that slightly-garish-but-also-amazing brown velvet coat of his. Lee Byung-heon looks great with his perfectly-styled disheveled hair and baby’s butt-smooth skin.

And, as always, because it wouldn’t be one of my Mr. Sunshine “thoughts” posts without them, here are screenshots of my main squeeze YYS.

Agree with everything you said…all 3 male leads are interesting (and handsome) and I don’t know how I would pick if I was Lady Ae-Sin, oh wait my heart has already wavered to the bad boy lol

The acting is damn good, that’s for sure. And while the boys are all powerhouses in their own acting careers, the girls aren’t letting them upstage anyone!
