Baek Hyun-joo made her screen debut in 2006 with the films Family Matters and The Last Dining Table. She then appeared in the movies A Brand New Life in 2009 and The Yellow Sea in 2010. In 2011, she played small roles in several films including director Lee Jeong-hyang’s A Reason to Live. In 2015, she landed her first television acting gig in JTBC’s Awl. In 2019, she was cast in a number of TV series such as KBS2’s When the Camellia Blooms, which won the Daesang at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2020, she acted alongside Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun in the SBS fantasy romance The King: Eternal Monarch. In 2021, she portrayed a villain in the KBS2 series Hello? It’s Me! and a nurse in tvN’s You Are My Spring.
