Choi Yoo-hwa broke into the entertainment industry through the CeCi Model Contest in 2005, where she won the Fashion Model Award. She made her acting debut in an episode of KBS Drama Special aired in 2010. In 2011 and 2012, she played supporting roles in MBC’s My Princess and SBS’ Take Care of Us, Captain, respectively. In 2018, she had appearances in KBS2’s Suits, OCN’s Mistress, and JTBC’s Life. In 2019, she became part of the main cast of the OCN drama Class of Lies and also starred in the crime drama film Tazza: One Eyed Jack. In 2020, she acted alongside Kim Jung-eun and Choi Won-young in the MBN series My Dangerous Wife. In 2021, she played one of the main characters in the KBS2 sageuk River Where the Moon Rises, which was named Best TV Drama at the 48th Korea Broadcasting Awards.
