Im Jae-bum, a.k.a. Jay B and formerly JB, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actor born on January 6, 1994. He is the leader of the South Korean boy group Got7. He is also known for his role in the TV series Dream High 2.

Jay B made his entertainment industry debut in 2012 with the KBS2 series Dream High 2. Later that year, he was launched as one half of the duo JJ Project along with Jinyoung. They released their first single Bounce before eventually debuting as part of Got7 in January 2014. The group’s debut extended play Got It? topped Billboard’s World Album Chart and peaked at number two on the Gaon Weekly Albums Chart. In November 2014, they released their first studio album titled Identify. In 2015, Jay B starred in the web series Dream Knight along with his fellow Got7 members and actress Song Ha-yoon. In 2019, he and Yugyeom debuted as Got7’s second sub-unit Jus2 with the extended play Focus. In May 2021, he made his solo debut with the R&B song Switch It Up. The track reached number six on the Billboard R&B Digital Song Sales Chart, making him the first Korean solo act to achieve such feat. He then released his first extended SOMO:Fume in August 2021. In January 2022, he dropped his second EP Love. under the pseudonym Def.
Jay B majored in film at Konkuk University. In March 2021, it was revealed that he was clinically diagnosed with depression. He is currently in a relationship with YouTuber Kim Do-hyun a.k.a. PURE.D.
