Jo Soo-hyang made her acting debut in the 2006 teen comedy film See You After School. She appeared in several more films before finding her breakthrough in the movie Wild Flowers. She won the Actress of the Year Award at the 19th Busan International Film Festival in 2014 for her performance in the said movie. In 2015, she acted alongside Kim So-hyun in the KBS2 series Who Are You: School 2015, which earned her Best New Actress nominations at the Korea Drama Awards and the KBS Drama Awards. In 2016, she played a collegiate rhythmic gymnast in MBC’s Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-ju. She also had roles in the films Snowy Road and The Princess and the Matchmaker in 2017 and 2018. In 2019, she once again worked with Kim So-hyun in the KBS2 sageuk Tale of Nokdu. In 2022, she was cast in KBS2’s Love All Play and in ENA’s Love Is for Suckers.


Jo Soo-hyang graduated from Anyang Arts High School. She then studied theater and film at Dongguk University.
