Jung Eun-chae debuted in the entertainment industry as a model before transitioning into acting in 2010 with a role in the supernatural thriller film Haunters. In 2011, she starred in the KBS1 daily series My Bittersweet Life, which earned her a Best New Actress nomination at the KBS Drama Awards. Her career breakthrough came in 2013 when she played the titular character in drama film Nobody’s Daughter Haewon, which gave her several acting citations including Best New Actress at the 22nd Buil Film Awards. Also in 2013, she dropped a self-titled extended play featuring indie folk songs. In 2018, she returned to the small screen through SBS’s Return and OCN’s The Guest. Her performance in the former gave her an Excellence Award nomination at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2020, she played one of the main characters in the SBS fantasy romance drama The King: Eternal Monarch, which scored her another nomination for an Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards.
