In 2007, he starred in the short film A Man Under the Influenza. In 2008, he played supporting roles in the KBS2 drama Strongest Chil Woo and the MBC series Beethoven Virus. In 2012, he became part of the medical drama Golden Time and the melo I Miss You, which both aired on MBC. That same year, he acted a main role in the short film Inconvenient Company. In 2016, he joined the blockbuster zombie movie Train to Busan as well as the films Detour and Misbehavior. In 2017, he appeared in the KBS2 workplace drama Chief Kim and the tvN fantasy thriller Black. In 2019, he was cast in tvN’s Arthdal Chronicles and MBC’s No Second Chances.
