Kim Dong-hwi made his acting debut in the 2014 period movie The Royal Tailor. He continued to build his acting portfolio with appearances in more films such as 2016’s Phantom Detective and 2020’s Honest Candidate. Also in 2020, he landed his first small screen role in the second season of the tvN mystery-thriller Forest of Secrets. In 2022, he starred alongside veteran actor Choi Min-shik in the drama film In Our Prime. His performance in the movie gave him multiple Best New Actor trophies including one from the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards. That same year, he joined the main cast of the second season of tvN’s Missing: The Other Side.
