Kim Ga-eun made her acting debut in 2009 with a supporting role in the SBS series Style. In 2010, she had appearances in more SBS dramas such as Giant and Dr. Champ. She also played supporting roles in KBS2’s Brain in 2011 and in SBS’s My Love, Madame Butterfly in 2012. Her career breakthrough came in 2013 when she was cast in the hit SBS series I Hear Your Voice, which earned her a Best New Actress nomination at the 6th Korea Drama Awards. In 2014, she led the KBS2 daily drama TV Novel: Single-minded Dandelion. She scored nominations for Best New Actress and for an Excellence Award at the KBS Drama Awards for her performance in the series. In 2015, she starred in the SBS Plus romantic comedy I Order You. In 2017, she became part of tvN’s Because This Life Is Our First. In 2018, she acted alongside Sung Hoon in Oksusu’s I Picked up a Celebrity on the Street. In 2021, she was nominated for an Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards for the workplace drama On the Verge of Insanity.
